Dare to Save a Heart - Learn CPR & AED
October 13, 2017
As part of our country's move towards community preparedness, we are organising a FREE CPR & AED session on 14th October 2017. The session is 1.5 hours long. You will be taught how to perform CPR as well as use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Why learn CPR & AED?
Ischemic heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the developed world. It can lead to heart attack, which is one of the main causes of cardiac arrest. Most of the cardiac arrests occurs in the community. By the time an ambulance arrives, brain death can occur. And once in the hospital, even if the patient survives, they may have bad outcomes due to the effects of oxygen deprivation on the brain. Hence, the chain of survival starts in the community.
If you know how to perform CPR & AED, you can make a difference. Hence we are teaching CPR & AED for free. It only take 1.5hours, with time for you to ask questions and meet like minded people.
Do sign up as it is a first come, first serve basis. You can make a difference by saving a heart!
